Please use this page to submit your translations for round 1. The message for this round has been written in English and translated by the author into an unspoken symbolic language. Before starting, review the following examples.
Example 1:
Place your cursor on the symbols above to see English translations of the base-symbols that compose the sentence. This example illustrates some of the ways both the shape and the meaning of symbols can merge to communicate more complex concepts. On their own, base-symbols represent a concept and/or object (see head). However, Base-symbols are almost always combined together to form a related compound-symbol that describes a more complex concept (as in wears) . Further, especially advanced concepts may be expressed as a series of compound-symbols (as in crown).
Example 2:
Place your cursor over the small semantic modifiers above symbols (concrete noun modifier, action modifier, description modifier, plural noun modifier) to see how they might change the meaning of the symbol below.
The paragraph below is separated into five sentences. Under each sentence is a text box to enter its translation. Before translating, place your mouse cursor over symbols in a sentence and you will obtain the English meaning of the base-symbols that compose them. Some symbols, such as arrows and dots, may show "indicator mark" instead of a translation when moused over. Please consider these in the context of symbols around them.Lastly, we know this is a highly subjective process: please consider the text, but don't agonize over finding a “correct” translation. Remember to try and have fun!
